I am a 57 year-old painter/artisan born in the Pacific Northwest. I have been a painter, candlemaker, bass player, dance instructor and digital artist; was a dive instructor in Hawaii, rescued horses in Vermont and owned a horse ranch in California. In 2023, I left a 20-year career in corporate leadership. I now find myself irresistibly creating art, a painter found.  I have returned to the PNW where I live on a river with my wife and standard poodle.

Since the early 1990s, I have been casually experimenting with different mediums and techniques, eventually landing on a unique combination of plaster, watercolor and acrylics; painting primarily on boards with palette knives. I find that nature, the study of natural forms and light is the subject that draws me in and ignites me the most.
